President Barack Obama - Inauguration

In 2009, Americans rejoiced in the inauguration of the first African American elected President, Barack H. Obama - 44th President of the United States of America.

President Obama's election was historic and his inauguration celebration was uplifting. President Obama was sworn into office for his first term on January 20, 2009. The world watched and millions participated in a mulitple-day Inauguration celebration that began with an historic whistle-stop train journey from Philadelphia, PA to Washington, DC and culminated with the swearing in ceremony using the same Bible Abraham Lincoln used to take the oath of office.
